Water Testing Program Announcement
To the Students, Families, and Staff of the Beverly Schools:

In an effort to be proactive, the Beverly Public Schools has partnered with the MassDEP (Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection) through a voluntary grant funded program to test lead and copper levels in the drinking sources at all schools. As part of the program we will test every possible drinking source in all of our buildings.

The testing in all buildings has been completed at this time and we will inform you of the results as they are made available to us. All of our results will be posted on our district web site www.beverlyschools.org. In addition, all information reported to MassDEP through eDEP and the reporting tool will be made available on line at http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/massdep/water/drinking/testing-assistance-for-lead-in-schooldrinking-water.html.

We are pleased to be part of this program to ensure safe drinking water for our students, faculty and staff. The district and the city water department are working together and will comply with all recommendations as results are returned. Additionally, we will continue to regularly test our water quality as part of our ongoing facilities maintenance program.
