Mission

To ensure that students and staff are effective users of information, by providing:

Access to resources to support the curriculum, in a variety of formats.
Collaboration with staff to develop and reinforce students' critical thinking and information literacy skills.
Encouragement of reading as a pathway to lifelong learning and enjoyment.
Technological tools to use for collaborating, presenting, and sharing ideas in the 21^st century.

The Briscoe Library Media Center is available to all Briscoe students, staff, and families. The computers in the library may be used by students for schoolwork only. Books may be checked out for two weeks at a time, after which time they must be returned or renewed.

Accelerated Reader (AR)
The AR reading program allows students to select reading books from a list of over 3000 titles, then take a short quiz to show they have read the book. The lists below are current as of September 2012. Please note the complete lists are 77 pages long.
