Welcome!
The students, staff and administration of Beverly High School welcome you to our website. We are confident that you will find the information on this site useful and that you will learn more about what makes Beverly High School special.
Beverly High School was founded in 1858 and has a proud tradition of educating the children of Beverly. Enrolling more than 1300 students, BHS offers a variety of programs for its diverse student body, almost ninety percent of whom go on to two or four year colleges. The mission of Beverly High School is to provide a safe, respectful environment where all students are challenged to reach their academic and social potential and become active, responsible citizens.
One of the real strengths of Beverly High School is the diverse curricula offerings that include thirteen (13) Advanced Placement courses, five (5) foreign languages, six (6) science laboratory courses, fine arts courses and a growing business program. Students are expected to demonstrate high levels of achievement while maximizing their many strengths and talents.
Complimenting the classroom curriculum are many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Beverly is extremely proud of its high school academic and athlete teams, its widely celebrated fine arts program, and its award-winning student publications. Beverly High School values the various student organizations that foster leadership, service and social awareness among its student body.
Beverly High School parents are very dedicated and active; participating in our PTSO, School Council and various booster groups for our academic and athletic programs. The BHS PTSO sponsors a golf tournament each fall from which the proceeds have enabled the group to fund numerous technology purchases, field trips, guest speakers and teacher “wish list” items. Our School discusses the academic interests within BHS, while our numerous booster groups lend support our co-curricular programs.
Through our curriculum offerings and our activity and athletic programs, Beverly High School seeks to meet as many of the educational needs of its students as possible. We are concerned with all our students, whatever their backgrounds, abilities, interests and ambitions. We pride ourselves on knowing our students and letting them know we care about them as people first, then students.
