Criteria for Coach Selection
The following is, but not limited to, the general criteria the
Beverly Athletic Department will use in selecting coaches:
- Coaches will uphold the dignity, honor, and integrity
of the coaching profession
- Coaches will enlighten student-athletes about the importance
of academics and co-curricular activities in their daily lives
- Coaches will encourage and promote sportsmanship among
both the visiting and home team, coaching staff, and spectators
- Coaches will encourage all aspects of safety before success
- Coaches will work with and respect the officials in and
out of the athletic arena
- Coaches will take an active role in the prevention of
the use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco
- Coaches will adhere to the Northeastern Conference, M.I.A.A.,
and Beverly High School rules
- Coaches will teach sport specific knowledge and skills
- Coaches will use good communication skills to parents
and the City of Beverly in general
