To the Parents of Beverly High Athletes,
We believe that communication between school-parent-athlete is very
important to the overall success of Beverly High School's athletic
program.
The role of the parent is very important to our student- athlete's
life. Proper nutrition, rest, and attention to school work are all
necessary for proper physical and mental well-being. There is no
substitution for active parents in a high school student's life.
The coach and the school system's role is to provide activities
that are "the other half of education and the extension of
the classroom". Values such as confidence, citizenship, sportsmanship,
work ethic, social skills, and responsibility are among many we
feel are an integral part of the total educational process.
We as a school system and you as parents must work together to
provide positive experiences for members of our athletic teams.
Please feel free to call me at 978-921-6141 if you have any further,
questions or comments.
Sincerely,
John Lyons
