Financial Oversight
The business office provides financial management for the School Department, including: the development of financial policies and procedures, procurement, accounting and accounts payable, and reporting the schools finances to the Department of Education.

Budget Management
The business office provides budget management and analysis to the Superintendent of Schools and the School Committee. The business office also provides reports and information to the Superintendent during the development stages of the annual budget.

Payroll and Benefits
Along with our financial responsibilities, the business office coordinates and administers the payroll for the Beverly Public Schools. Materials for new hires, benefit information, and direct deposit applications can be found at our office.

Procurement of Services
The business office works closely with the town’s purchasing office to ensure all purchases are in accordance with applicable bidding laws, such as M.G.L. Chapter 30B.

Accounts Payable
Accounts payable can provide details about current and pending payments such as check numbers, list of invoices paid, encumbrance balances, and vendor status. All vendors must have a W-9 Form on file. The accounts payable office can provide blank forms on request.

Accounts Receivable
Payments to the district are processed through the business office. Details of payments from vendors can be provided here. Accounts receivable also coordinates the rental fees, tuition, and school user fees.

User Fees and Tuition Payments
The business office coordinates many of the school user fee and tuition payments for early childhood education. You can find scholarship and waiver information for our programs here.

Rental of School Facilities
The business office helps coordinate the rental and access of our school facilities to Beverly citizens and businesses. Applications can be obtained in the office, as well as availability information for any of our facilities. Here is our application, with rent information and fee structure.

Buildings & Grounds
The buildings and grounds department is responsible for the maintenance of all school buildings and grounds. The buildings and grounds department also provides preventative maintenance to our schools, and develops capital improvement projects for the district.

Food Services
The School Lunch program is an integral part of the Beverly Public School system. We strive to meet the needs of all the students & staff, both nutritiously and socially, by serving a nutritious breakfast and lunch of high quality in a cheerful, pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. It is our role to encourage everyone to eat a breakfast and lunch that conforms to the dietary guidelines for healthy Americans while recognizing the individual preferences of each person who participates in our program. Menus are created monthly and reflect the students' tastes by offering the choices most popular to students.

Transportation
The Beverly Public Schools utilize their own fleet of buses and vans to transport children to and from school and school related events. You can contact the transportation office with any questions regarding transportation fees or bus availability for after school events.
